NRG Joint
NRG joints
The NRG Joint is the latest generation of insulated rail joint. Insulated rail joint are part of the train detection system and are used to divide the track into sections, or track sections. These sections are connected to the central protection system. ES splices are part of the rail. It therefore has the function of a signal conductor in addition to carrying and running train traffic.
Sustainability as top priority
A radical redesign and the development of several new components have resulted in a model with an unprecedentedly long service life, significantly reducing infrastructure failures. Since 2015, more than 17,000 NRG insulated joints have been supplied in the Netherlands.
