There are roughly four types of conductor rail systems available, depending on the specific requirements of the situation, including:
- Standard heavy duty version made of galvanized steel with a copper conductor head
- Light weight conductor rail with an aluminum carrier and copper conductor head
- Conduction using a full copper profile
- Customized solutions
The appropriate type is selected based on system conditions (such as potential chemical reactions between materials), required power capacity, and acceptable voltage drop. For higher power levels or longer distances, the system can easily be scaled by increasing the number of feed points or adjusting the copper cross section.
Practical Installation
Our extensive portfolio of mounting components ensures a standard solution for any situation. The conductor rails are mounted with insulators equipped with rail clamps. Conductor rail connectors guarantee a solid link between rail profiles. For lengths exceeding 100 meters, expansion sections are required to accommodate thermal expansion and ensure dimensional stability.
Power and/or overhead line cables are mounted onto the rail using connection clamps. Naturally, the mechanical and electrical conduction properties of the various conductor rail types have been thoroughly tested and validated.
Custom Components for Specific Applications
In addition to the standard versions, customized solutions are also possible. In cooperation with Vijselaar’s manufacturing facility, components such as connectors, expansion pieces, feed clamps, and line interruptions can be produced according to specific requirements. This is also feasible for smaller quantities, using a variety of materials. As a result, the system fits seamlessly with the technical demands of the project.
