Rail Clip SKL12

The rail clip SKL12 is designed to keep the rail in correct position and to ensure elastic function of the Rail Fastening Systems, in which this rail clip is used. It is mounted on a ribbed plate and fastened with a combination of T-bolt+ULS6+hexagon nut.

While the spring arm ends lie on the rail foot and exert the clamping force, the middle loop of the clamp has a certain distance to the railfoot and only activates at excessive rail tilting. The typical field of application for SKL12 clips are Conventional Railways and Urban Traffic Metro systems on ballasted track and slab track with a rail pad stiffness of ≥200 kN/mm.

Material: The rail clip SKL12 is manufactured from hot rolled spring steel, grade 38Si7 (DIN 1.5023).

Corrosion protection: Basic black water paint, KTL-, or zinc flake coating.
