Choose your type of NRG-joint joint and Rail profile/steel combination
All possible combinations that may be used on the Dutch railway are available. Thanks to the configurator, the different options are made visible. This way, you can learn about the possibilities of an NRG-joint and customize it according to your preferences. Do you need advice on which NRG-joint should be applied in your situation? Feel free to contact us, and we'll guide you through the configurator at your own pace.
The following configuration options are available:
- Type of insulated joint (ES joint) (4-hole or 6-hole)
- Rail profile
- Rail grade
- Application in a turnout or plain line track
- Depth-milled NRG insulated joint
- NRG insulated joint with a radius
- Rail coating
- Positioning of rail contacts
Milled to the desired depth
Installing filler sections into existing track presents a unique challenge. New rail is taller than the worn, existing rail. It becomes even more complex when a new ES weld needs to be installed in existing track. Traditionally, this height difference is often addressed by raising the ballast bed under the track or by grinding — a time-consuming process. Additionally, this solution is frequently not the best choice for weld quality, as the joint between the weld and the existing rail is critical for both the quality and lifespan of the joint. Our answer to this challenge? The NRG weld milled to depth
Protective coating
In addition to the protective insulating coating that is applied to every NRG insulated joint as standard, our new coating line can also apply a coating to the rail on which the NRG insulated joint is installed. Coating contributes to a longer service life and improved reliability of rails. By applying the coating under controlled conditions prior to installation, we are able to deliver an optimal result.Installing prefabricated rail contacts
The purpose of a rail contact and the cable connection to the rail is to electrically connect a cable to the rail, a signaling object, or a power supply object. The rail contact forms part of the cable connection. For track circuits, the rails and various railway signaling objects are electrically connected to each other by cables and associated cable connections. Furthermore, these cable connections are used in various power supply installations for cables that carry the return current of the traction power supply.
It is possible to also apply the rail contacts Prefab NRG joint in the Prefab NRG joint. The location of the rail contacts can be determined to the nearest mm using the configurator. ProRail's specifications for positioning the rail contacts are included in the configurator.
Advantages include
- Saving time
- No problems with weather conditions
- Better quality
- Location of rail contacts positioned to mm accuracy
